After a long, long beta Nirvana has “soft” launched a paid version of it’s cloud based GTD oriented to do list. I’ve reviewed the app in the past, here. It is in fact one of my very favorite personal to do list apps because for me (and you?) it is very well focused one scenario – Being the very best GTD app on the market.

Workflowy is a cloud based outliner. It’s deceptively simple and it’s power really only surfaces as you start to play with it. The first time I found it and played with it I found it interesting, but for some reason didn’t really invest the time with it to see it’s power and eventually stopped using it. NirvanaHQ released builds 326 and 327 in the last few days with many changes, bug fixes and a few new enhancements as well. This is the first release in over two months and comes after the team had a failed attempted at coming out of beta. This release should make the many thousands of beta customers very happy and re-assure them that Nirvana is indeed
[UPDATE #2 10/17/2011] It appears iOS 5 has thrown a wrench into the works over at NirvanaHQ. A blog post from yesterday reports that the most recent Apple iOS 5 release has rendered the mobile version of Nirvana unusable on iPhone. Today GTDAgenda announced that GTDagenda now supports syncing of events and tasks to your Google Calendar. Go to the “Extra” menu on the top of the app and choose Google Calendar from the options. Today on the Task.ly blog Dmitry Gorshkow posted that Task.ly is going down. It’s really too bad, the team had some great ideas, but just couldn’t monetize the app. I give Dmitry huge kudos for just coming straight out and telling it like it is. They tried, had some great ideas, but ultimately couldn’t turn it into a sustainable business. Good luck in your next
